500 Games - 1 Year - Game#2 - Love Letter

After Wingspan opened my quest to play 500 Games in 1 Year, I move onto the second game which is another favourite of mine....Love Letter! You can see the TikTok coverage of the game HERE

Just as I did with Wingspan, I won't go into massive detail on Love Letter as many readers will already know all about the game. In short, this a quick fire card game (21 cards in the deck) in which you must compete to get your letters to the Princess!

Each card in the game has a different ability and amount of Power, and every turn you may only play one card. The object of the game being to eliminate all the other players, or have the highest power card when the draw deck is empty. The last surviving player wins a token and the most Tokens at the end of the game wins.

The game is simple to play but difficult to master, with elements of risk, deduction, hand management and memory required to keep you on track to making the correct decisions and earning those tokens.

Love Letter plays best the closer to 6 players you can get. As a 2 or even 3 player game, it feels limited, but as soon as you are in the 4+ player range, the game truly comes to life.

Check out the video below to see the game in action (from Geek and Sundry) and its available for a reasonable price on Amazon right HERE
