500 Games -  1 Year - #4 - Kluster

A family favourite from last year, Kluster is the next game in my 500 Games in 1 Year challenge and certainly a game I will be playing throughout 2024.

The game has a very simple concept - on your turn, place one of the magnets in your hand into the roped circle without attracting other magnets. If you are successful, play moves on. If not, you collect every magnet that 'Klustered'. The winner is the first person to get rid of all the magnets in their hand!

The rope can be increased and decreased to make the game harder, you can opt to play the magnets side down rather than face down and you can move the rope during your turn but the simplicity of the game is where it shines!

I have no idea why the box suggest this is for ages 14+ as the game can be enjoyed by all (my 4 year old loves it and can play well). The solo mode is simply a score chase to see how many magnets you can get in without Klustering more than twice. 

All in all, Kluster deserves a place on any gaming shelf and is the perfect quick play game and also (with the portable bag you get in the box) perfect for taking on holidays!
