Kickstarter Watch - Sakana Stack
As well as playing established games, new games, eating too much food and spending too much money at Airecon 2024, I (and all attendees) were given the chance to play a wide range of new games in various stages of production and one of the ones I enjoyed most was 'Sakana Stack' from Huff No More Games
I had spoken to Michael, the games designer, prior to the event on social media and the Scout-like card shedding game was something I was really looking forward to playing during my time at Airecon. We managed to get a small group together and play the game, with a universally popular opinion.
Gameplay moves quickly and with the game being easy to learn, but having a strategic depth, it is going to appeal to the full spectrum of the gaming audience. Huff No More have a clear passion for card games of the this nature and it shows, as 'Sakana Stack' takes the best elements from a wide range of games and combines them into a title that is certainly going to be my first ever Kickstarter back!
If you enjoy small boxed, Scout-like, card shedding card games then keep an eye on 'Sakana Stack' when it goes live on Kickstarter at some point in the near future. I am hoping to meet Huff No More again later in the year at various conferences and will aim for some gameplay footage so you can see how it all works!
